£25,000 grant to the Smithsonian Tropical Research Institute to support the advancement of new frontiers, creative ideas, initiatives, and research. This grant was made possible with generous support from Mr. and Mrs. J. Eric Daniels.

£35,000 grant to support a one-year research Smithsonian Junior Research Fellowship at Pembroke College, Oxford. This grant was made possible with generous support from the trustees of the Smithsonian UK Charitable Trust: Lisa Bennett, Eric Daniels and Leslie Scott.

£25,000 grant to the Smithsonian Tropical Research Institute to support the advancement of new frontiers, creative ideas, initiatives, and research. This grant was made possible with generous support from Mr. and Mrs. J. Eric Daniels.

Grants totaling US $22,700 to support three internships at the Mpala Research Centre. The Mpala Research Centre was established in 1991 by the Mpala Wildlife Foundation in collaboration with the Smithsonian Institution, Princeton University, the Kenya Wildlife Service, and the National Museums of Kenya to create a site for multidisciplinary research and training in Africa These grants were made possible with generous support from Ms. Leslie Scott and Prof. Fritz Vollrath.

£50,000 grant to support the Smithsonian Tropical Research Institute's Agua Salud project, which focuses on advancing risk mitigation and land use management strategies in tropical watersheds and landscapes. This award was made possible with the generous support of the Lloyd's Tercentenary Research Foundation.

The Smithsonian UK Charitable Trust hosted and made a £6,249 grant to support an interdisciplinary symposium at Pembroke College, Oxford to convene UK fellows, scholars, and associates of the Smithsonian Institution and its 19 museums and 9 research centres.

The Smithsonian UK Charitable Trust and the Smithsonian Institution hosted University of Oxford alumni from the Washington DC region at the Smithsonian Castle to celebrate Oxford's #1 national ranking in Times Higher Education magazine.

2015

2014

£4,000 grant to support the Smithsonian UK Charitable Trust Mpala Scholarship, which is awarded to the child of a Mpala Research Centre employee who has achieved the highest mark on the Kenya Certificate of Primary Education national exam and secured a place at a National Secondary School in Kenya. This grant was made possible with generous support from Ms. Leslie Scott and Prof. Fritz Vollrath.

£9,000 grant to the Smithsonian Tropical Research Institute to support the advancement of new frontiers, creative ideas, initiatives, and research. This grant was made possible with generous support from the CAF American Donor Fund at the suggestion of Mr. and Mrs. J. Eric Daniels.

2013

£14,600 grant to the Smithsonian Tropical Research Institute to support the advancement of new frontiers creative ideas, initiatives, and research. This grant was made possible with generous support from Mr. and Mrs. J. Eric Daniels.

£12,500 grant to support mammalogy research at the Smithsonian Institution's National Museum of Natural History. This grant was made possible with generous support from Ms. Leslie Scott and Prof. Fritz Vollrath.

£6,500 grant to the Smithsonian Institution's National Air and Space Museum and a £6,000 grant to British artist Angela Palmer to support the exhibition of the Searching for Goldilocks sculpture at the National Air and Space Museum from 26 July 2013 through 1 December 2013. These grants were made possible with generous support from Ms. Leslie Scott and Prof. Fritz Vollrath.

The Smithsonian UK Charitable Trust hosted a private reception and viewing of George Caitlin: American Indian Portraits, an exhibition presented by the Smithsonian American Art Museum at London's National Portrait Gallery.
